Friday, January 29th

10:37am: An officer towed a vehicle to Impound from the 500 Block of South Olive Street. The vehicle has been in violation of numerous City Ordinances.

2:01pm: Joe Burchfield spoke to an officer about a Civil Issue occurring at 708 South Locust Street.

3:44pm: A Traffic Stop at North Grimmell and Central Ave. resulted in Lisa Flygstad of Ellsworth being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:48pm: Kandace Petterson requested an officer at 502 South Maple Street for an argument occurring with her brother. The officer worked to diffuse the issue and Petterson went to her mother’s residence.

4:03pm: Officers were called to 1605 Westwood Drive for a Civil Property Issue. A male subject was advised to leave and that he was no longer welcome at the residence.

Saturday, January 30th

10:55am: Andy Carman reported while shopping at 403 West Head Street, someone damaged his company vehicle and left the scene. The 2017 Chevrolet Silverado K150 is owned by Farm Credit Services of America. Carman returned to the vehicle and noticed damage on the side. The officer estimated the damage at $500.00. The officer is working to locate the other vehicle involved.

1:55pm: Lois Wistenberg requested officers at 405 North Locust Street for her two adult daughters fighting in the front yard. The officers arrived and separated the two sisters. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Shon Renae Blake, 55 of Jefferson for, “Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon – Aggravated and Domestic Abuse Assault 1 st Offense – Simple.”

3:03pm: Officers responded to 401 East Central Ave. for an Alarm Activation. The officers located workers inside the business, and all was fine.

3:16pm: A caller advised of a truck parked across the sidewalk in the 100 Block of North Maple Street. The officer made contact with the driver, who removed the vehicle from the sidewalk.

11:19pm: Officers checked on an Alarm Activation at 204 North Locust Street. The business was found to be secure.

Sunday, January 31st

6:19am: Carroll County requested an officer to locate a Jefferson resident about her vehicle, which was broken down in Carroll County. The officer could not locate the subject in Jefferson.

10:15am: An officer was advised of a loose cover plate on the ATM at 116 West State Street. The officer notified bank employees.

2:58pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Lincoln Way resulted in Mary Constantine of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

1:44pm: Shon Blake advised a female subject was at her residence, located at 405 North Locust Street, and a No Contact Order prohibits her from being there. The officers located the female across the street at a different residence. She was advised of the Protective Order and advised to stay away from 405.

3:46pm: Paula Upton spoke to an officer about a Civil Property Issue occurring at 209 East Russell Street.

5:47pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at the ATM located at 200 West State Street. The ATM was secure.

9:48pm: Bryan Jablonski reported his son had received a Threatening message on Facetime. The officer spoke to the juveniles responsible and advised them to end the unwanted contact.

******** An officer has requested an Arrest Warrant after completing a Theft Investigation at 1605 Westwood Drive, which began on 01/28/2021. The requested warrant is for Edward Lee Goff, 19 of Jefferson for, “Theft 3rd Degree – Aggravated.”

******** (2) Parking Violation Notices were issued during this reporting period for, “Vehicle Parked Facing Wrong Direction.”
