The Iowa Department of Public Health has released updated vaccination totals throughout the state.

The Guthrie County Health Department has administered 484 total doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, with 166 individuals completing both the prime and booster shots. A total of 805 doses have been administered to individuals in Guthrie County, which includes those in long-term care facilities or individuals who live in the County, but may have received their doses outside of the county.

Public Health Director Jotham Arber says the County has received 200 doses of the Moderna vaccine for Phase 1B, and that the state is looking at shifting to weekly distributions of those 200 doses. He adds that the numbers don’t add up consistently because most of the vials contain 10 doses, some have enough vaccine to add an extra 11th dose.
