The Greene County High School Speech Team competed this last weekend in the Iowa High School Speech Association Large Group District contest.

Speech coach Kelley Gray says Josey Weaver, Madison Hall, Madison Truitt, and Blake Kaufman received a Division I-rating for their Readers Theater production of “Stressed” and will be moving onto state. Additionally, Weaver and Hall received another I-rating for group improvisation and will also move onto the state contest.

Those two entries will compete at the state contest at Madrid High School this Saturday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be an all-state festival this year.
