The coronavirus pandemic has made access to gyms a little more difficult but there are plenty of exercises you can do right from your home.

Clint Lutterman with 21st Century Rehab advises doing at home exercises that are age appropriate, but that body weight exercises work, including waking and being creative with it.

“One of the best things you can do is actually walking backwards. Walking backwards just uses different muscles, it uses your hips differently, it uses your quads and your calves differently and so it’s good to work different muscles (in) different ways.”

Also, Lutterman notes that simply practicing standing up and sitting down can use a lot of different muscles and can potentially offer cardiovascular benefits as well.
