Dallas Center – Grimes wrestling was on the mat this last Saturday for the Little Hawkeye Conference tournament, getting a nice team performance finishing 4th out of seven teams.

The Mustangs were able to crown Jacob Fistler as the conference champion at 126, who now is officially a 2X conference champ. Fistler was able to show a workmanlike performance throughout the day, showing control throughout his matches to claim another title.

Two different wrestlers were able to get 2nd in the tournament in Caden Fenn at 152 and Luke Stover at 113, both putting together nice days and show great competitiveness in their championship matches. Four different wrestlers were able to get 3rd on the day, with Carson Springer at 120, Cuin Cullen at 182, Connor Pertzsch at 170, and Riley Kovaleski at 138.

DCG wrestling will have some major meets coming up in the future, and hope that they can build upon the performances that they were able to get on Saturday.
