West Central Valley Wildcats basketball were swept by Des Moines Christian in a girl/boy doubleheader Friday night.
The girls fell to 8-9 on the season with the 48-28 loss. The Lady Wildcats rallied in the third quarter to knock the deficit down to 8, but Des Moines Christian pulled away with a 17-point fourth quarter for the victory.
The boys were outmatched 78-26, suffering their 14th loss in the season. The Lions scored 50 points in the first half and left Stuart with a 13-1 record on the season.
The Wildcats begin a three-game road trip with Madrid on Monday. Tipoff for the girls game will be 6 p.m.
