adm-7

For the second straight night on Friday night, the ADM boys basketball team took on the Toreadors of Boone in Raccoon River Conference play, and used a big 4th quarter to beat the Toreadors by the score of 59-45. After three quarters of play, ADM only had a one point lead 39-38, and were able to outscore Boone in the final frame 20-7. ADM improves to 6-8 on the season while Boone falls to 2-9.

They were able to get three straight baskets from senior Grant Garton to begin the 4th and help expand the lead, then were able to get key stops throughout the end of the frame to get the nice victory. ADM struggled in the first half and especially the second quarter, as they trailed 23-17 with a 1:30 left before senior Ethan Juergens was able to hit a pair of threes in the final minute to help give ADM a 24-23 lead at half. They made enough adjustments in the second half to get the season sweep of Boone, and tally their fifth straight win in the series.

Garton lead the Tigers with 14 points while sophomore Vince Benetti was able to chip in with 10 points as well.  Juergens had three threes on the night to tally his nine points.

ADM will retake the court Monday at home in a makeup game against North Polk.
