The Jefferson Police Department is asking motorists for their assistance with an issue happening near the Greene County Elementary School.

Police Chief Mark Clouse requests motorists who are waiting to drop off or pick up children at the elementary school to leave driveways accessible for those residents that live in the 500-700 block of South Cedar Street. He says there have been complaints about vehicles blocking driveways before and after school. Clouse understands that children need to be dropped off and picked up safely and is hoping those waiting in line will keep those driveways clear for residents to use.

Clouse adds that there will be additional officers during those times to help direct and remind motorists.
