adm-7

ADM Tigers basketball hadn’t taken the court in six days and showed it in the first quarter Thursday night trailing 10-8 after one quarter of play, and did enough the rest of the quarter to thwart off a pesky Boone team by the score of 59-49.

The second quarter was key for ADM as they were able to outscore Boone 16-8 in the frame and take a 24-18 point lead into the locker room. They were able to get out a quick start in the third quarter taking a 35-19 lead midway through the third quarter, but watched the lead evaporate the rest of the quarter and into the 4th to get within 4. Sophomore Vince Benetti was able to get a few big buckets as well as key threes from junior Sam Hlas to get the Toreadors at bay.

Benetti was thrust into the starting lineup for the first time in his career, and made an immediate impact leading the Tigers in scoring. ADM is now 5-8 on the season while Boone drops to 2-8.

The two will run it back tonight in Boone, and you can listen to the game on the home of Tiger Basketball True Country K1079.
