After yesterday’s winter storm postponed the final game of a five-game homestand, the West Central Valley basketball teams will head to Madrid for a girl/boy doubleheader tonight.
The ladies will seek a fifth consecutive win against the Tigers, who are 2-12 on the season. Junior Madelyn Jaeger will look to continue her high-scoring ways against a team that’s given up 50-plus points in seven games this season. Sophomore Ella Santi leads the way for Madrid with 7.2 points per game.
The Wildcat boys will contend with a trio of double-digit scorers for the 5-8 Tigers, senior Cayden Fuson (14.8 PPG), sophomore Kadyn Severson (11.6 PPG) and senior Gabe Peterson (10.8 PPG). Madrid comes off a 43-36 victory over South Hamilton Friday.
Tip-off for the girls’ game is at 6 p.m. weather permitting. . Click here to view the Madrid Tigers YouTube channel.
