A Utah man faces a felony charge following an incident on Interstate-80 in Guthrie County.

According to the Stuart Police Department, Manuel Duran was driving a 2019 Nissan Versa on I-80 Tuesday afternoon when he lost control due to the icy conditions and hit an Iowa Department of Transportation sign. The Stuart Police Department discovered that Duran allegedly stole the vehicle in Utah. The suspect was arrested and charged with a felony for first-degree theft of a vehicle. He was booked and remains in the Adair County Jail under a $10,000 bond.
