The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released its boys’ basketball district assignments for Class 1A and 2A programs, which includes Greene County and Paton-Churdan.

The Rams have been assigned to Class 2A District 14 along with Eagle Grove, Roland-Story (Story City), South Central Calhoun (Lake City), South Hamilton (Jewell), and Southeast Valley (Gowrie). The postseason begins on Monday, Feb. 15. Coaches will meet to decide the seedings and pairings. The District 14 and District 13 winners will meet determine the Substate 7 champion and State qualifier. Teams in District 13 are Dike-New Hartford, East Marshall (Le Grand), Hudson, Iowa Falls-Alden , South Hardin (Eldora), and West Marshall (State Center).

The Rockets are in 1A District 15 and Substate 7. Others in the district are Ankeny Christian, Audubon, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Glidden-Ralston, Grandview Christian (Des Moines), IKM-Manning, Madrid, and Ogden. A preliminary game between the two lowest seeded teams in the district will be played on Feb. 12 with first round contests on Feb. 15.
