The Greene County Cattlemen’s Association is surging ahead with their annual fundraising banquet.
The in-person event is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. The evening will begin with a New York strip steak dinner served at 6:30pm, with a social time beginning at 6. Following the meal will be the trophy auction. The event will follow the governor’s public health proclamation and follow COVID-19 guidelines. They strongly urge anyone who does not feel well or been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 to not attend the event, but contact a board member if interested in purchasing a trophy or making a donation.
Proceeds will continue to go towards the local projects and they support the Greene County 4-H and youth programs, as well as participate in beef promotions at the county, state and national levels. Additionally, they offer scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
Tickets may be purchased at the door or from any board member. A final decision about the plans for the banquet will be made one week prior to the event.
