Both ranked Dallas Center – Grimes Mustangs and Fillies teams were coming in as favorites against Oskaloosa on Friday Night, and they were able to take care of business with the boys winning 81-45 and the girls winning 63-16.

The Fillies were able to handle things on both ends of the court from the very beginning taking a 24-2 lead after one quarter of play and a 39-8 lead at halftime. The 16 points are a season low for the Indians as the Fillies were really able to ramp up the defense, getting great stops then getting great offense throughout the night. DCG has swept the season series every year since 2014.

On the boys side, DCG also used a strong first quarter outscoring the Indians 23-7, as their big players stepped up once again. Luke Rankin was able to put in 22 points and 6 assists, and junior Cole Glasgow was able to chip in with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. DCG shot 52% from the field including 11/20 from three point land.The win in the third straight for DCG.

Girls are now 12-2 on the season while boys 10-1. The boys play again today against Gilbert while the girls have their next game against Grinnell on Tuesday.
