Since the beginning of COVID vaccinations there have been many eager arms to have the vaccine pushed into it and local health officials say they are staying on top of administering the vaccinations.
Dallas County Health Department Public Information Officer Ann Cochran says she wants the community to know that the vaccines are about supply and demand and they don’t have extra vaccines that they are holding back.
“We have received many many phone calls, particularly from older Dallas County residents, who are very concerned about having to wait. Once we explain to them that it’s a matter of supply and demand and we are not sitting on extra vaccine doses we are getting them into the arms of everyone who needs it as quickly as we can, they are very understanding.”
Cochran says as people are waiting it’s important to continue protecting yourself and others with the same preventative guidelines.
