The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Thursday.
During open forum, County Attorney Thomas Laehn gave an update of a recent Courthouse Security Committee meeting. He said the committee is working on a set of policies regarding the newly installed security measures in the courthouse, including security cameras and automatic door locks. He anticipated having those policies to present to the Supervisors for approval at next Thursday’s meeting.
Next, the Board unanimously approved the temporary suspension of all music from the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower, except for the quarterly chimes. This will be in place immediately and until the Board approves a set of policies governing the playing of music at the tower.
Finally, the Board reviewed 2022 fiscal year budget proposals from general services, non-departmental, and general basic budget. No action was taken by the Board following the proposals.
