In key Raccoon River Conference wrestling meets on Thursday night for the ADM Tigers, they were unable to pull out victories falling to North Polk 41-23 and to Bondurant-Farrar 56-15.
The Tigers has some tough battles throughout the evening, including some wins for Nathan Royer at 160 in a 10-4 decision, Ben Smith at 132 in a fall at 5:57, and at 138 Kadin O’Connor in a fall at 5:39 against Bondurant wrestlers. Against North Polk, Royer picked up another victory in an 8-4 decision, at 195 Gabe Hietz picked up a 9-4 decision, and at 106 Jake Alexander picked up a major decision in a 12-3 win. Smith picked up his second victory in an 8-2 decision, while O’Connor picked up an 11-2 major decision.
Tiger wrestling is now 12-11 on the season as a team in various team matches, and now will get back to work tomorrow with 22 schools competing in a major wrestling tournament in Urbandale.
