U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne

President Joe Biden was sworn-in Wednesday during the inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Iowa’s Third Congressional District Representative Cindy Axne says she hopes the new leadership will bring real change at the federal level.

“I think we’re going to start seeing a corner. I hope that folks see guidance in the Biden Administration, strength in the people that he’s putting into office who truly know what they’re doing and have the experience to get things done in the bipartisan fashion he’s working in. They see a leader in him, somebody they can relate to, somebody who has seen loss, a solid religious married man, good grandfather, somebody that their morals are in line with. Hopefully, our country can realize we have more alike than we have different.”

Axne says the new President is “your everyday Joe” and she’s excited to see what Biden’s background will bring to the table in the White House.
