A Scranton teen was recently sentenced for a June 2020 incident.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Joseph Thompson pled guilty to a lesser charge of a simple misdemeanor for disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to four days in the Greene County Jail and given credit for time already served.
The charge stemmed from a June 11, 2020 incident. A Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to an assault call at 8:29pm in the 600 block of Locust Street in Scranton. Thompson was also ordered to pay over $70 in fines and surcharges. Thompson was originally charged with a felony for domestic abuse assault impeding air/blood flow causing bodily injury, which court documents show that charge was amended to the simple misdemeanor for disorderly conduct.
