A racial injustice protest from October, where Dale Hanaman (left) led the event.
An event is planned tomorrow in Jefferson.
Organizer Dale Hanaman invites everyone to the “People’s Inauguration” slated for 12:15pm on the south side of the Greene County Courthouse. Hanaman led a weekly series of protests against racial injustice, following the death of Geroge Floyd while in the custody of a former Minneapolis Police Officer last May.
Hanaman encourages those that can’t make it to Thursday’s free event to say the People’s Inauguration to yourself or others:
“I do solemnly vow that I will faithfully execute my role in healing and transitioning America, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend truth, dignity, justice and joy for myself and for those around me, and that I will do so in love.”
Hanaman points out that if you can attend, consider bringing non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Greene County Action Resource Center in Jefferson.
