Dallas Center – Grimes basketball was able to show good energy on Monday night in their makeup game against the Cardinals of Newton with both teams picking up a victory with the girls winning 76-43 and the boys winning 57-49.

The boys have been off to better starts throughout the season, trailing after one quarter of play. They were able to wake up during the second quarter when they put up twenty in the frame and were able to pull off a gritty victory.

The girls were able to get off to one of their best starts of the season on the offensive end with 27 points in the frame, which helped translate to one of the highest scoring outputs of the season for this Fillies team.

DCG will be on the hunt for more wins later in the week, but were able to start off the week with nice wins on Monday night.
