The Perry Chamber of Commerce has had to adapt to the changing landscape of the pandemic to continue to assist member businesses.

Perry Chamber Director Lysni Pasutti says the Chamber has had to alter its operations such as closing the office to the public or altering events and making sure local businesses are taken care of.

“Our main focus is our members and helping build a community where it’s a great place to live, work, and play. That’s just constantly how can we be supportive to our members, how can we continue to provide things that people look forward to.”

While things have looked different, Pasutti says there are still some familiar things and communication has been extremely important to getting resources out for people to be aware of.

“So much of the focus early on with this pandemic was about communication. Letting them know that we are still here for them and trying to get that information out.”

Pasutti says there have been plenty of signs of shifting gears throughout the pandemic with the farmers market or the gift card program to help assist local businesses.
