Greene County and Woodward-Granger square off in a non-conference girl/boy basketball doubleheader tonight in Woodward. Both games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
All four teams are below the .500 mark and feel they have realistic chances to win. The W-G girls are 3-8 and the boys are 4-7. The Rams are 3-6 in girls’ basketball and 1-8 on the boys’ side.
Coverage starts around 5:40 p.m. from Woodward with the girls playing at 6 o’clock and the boys to follow.
The Greene County teams play at home tomorrow night in a girl/boy doubleheader vs. South Hamilton (Jewell) before going to Perry on Thursday for a makeup twin bill vs. the Jayettes and Blue Jays. The Rams don’t play on Friday because Greene County is hosting the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference wrestling tournament in the new gym in Jefferson. The Greene County boys play on Saturday at noon in Gilbert at the Tigers’ Basketball Classic vs. Grandview Christian (Des Moines).
