fire-hydrant-in-snow

With recent snowfall that went across Jefferson, there’s one area that some property owners may overlook to keep clear of snow.

Jefferson Fire Chief Jack Williams reminds property owners with fire hydrants to keep those clear of any snow.

“If you do have a fire hydrant on your property please just scoop the snow out down to ground level, around three to four foot around it. So if we do need to hook a hose up we don’t have to waste time digging the snow out.”

Williams reminds those property owners that it is their responsibility to keep fire hydrants cleared of snow.
