The Perry City Council discussed the idea of a public-private partnership regarding Hotel Pattee and La Poste Properties at their special meeting Thursday.

The agreement would be between the City of Perry and Perry Economic Development (PED) to purchase Hotel Pattee. Perry Industries Inc. and PED are currently pursuing the purchase of Hotel Pattee.

The groups are focused on a public-private partnership model to not only fund the purchase but also the ongoing management of the property.

Funding would be secured in part by funds from PED and other private sources as well as possible public contributions.

The hopes are that the Council will formally consider the city’s support and participation at a council meeting in February. The timeline would include the purchase of Hotel Pattee and La Poste assets in the first trimester of 2021.
