As the blizzard warning continues for our area, the Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Agency will be keeping an eye on things.

But, Coordinator Bob Kempf says it takes a lot of cooperation to keep people safe during these events.

“Our cities, the county secondary roads, everybody works very well together. That’s one of the big things with Emergency Management is keeping the partners together, letting the partners talk to each other, know what each one is doing and how what they do relates to what one of the other partners does. It’s not only the public sector, but it’s also the private sector, our grocery stores, pharmacies, making sure when we have information that they stay informed all the time.”
