There are games for basketball players where every shot seems to be falling, and on Tuesday night, that statement was true for senior basketball Grace Hardcastle, who scored a school record 37 points in a 57-45 victory over Carlisle.
Hardcastle was running on all cylinders, hitting multiple threes on the night, scoring double figures at the free throw line, and finding ways to get buckets on the inside as well. She also was able to set up teammates effectively as well, and made the right play on nearly every occasion throughout the night. She came into the night averaging 6.7 points per game, and put up a performance that will be remembered for a long time. She broke the record that was set last year by Abbie Hlas, who had 36 points in a game.
ADM was also able to get a solid performance defensively especially in the first half, holding the Wildcats to only eleven points, and forcing a lot of turnovers on the night as well.
This is the first victory that the Tigers have been able to produce since November and move their record to 3-6. They continue their busy week with a rescheduled game at Perry on Thursday.
