With the recent rollout of the COVID-19 vaccinations across the country, including here in Dallas County, those going out and getting the injection have had an increasingly positive view on them. 

Dallas County Public Health Public Information Officer Ann Cochran says vaccinations are one of the tools used by public health, aside from facemasks and social distancing, and Cochran says people’s opinions are continuing to go in the right direction. 

“A recent national survey, more than one actually, have shown that people are showing an increased willingness and even excitement about receiving the vaccine now that it’s available.”

Also, Cochran says vaccines are important for helping get the pandemic under control but people need to continue to practice the preventative measures that are in place such as facemasks and social distancing.
