The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors renewed their officer positions in the first meeting of the new year.

Veterans Affairs Administrator Amy Davis spoke with the Supervisors about a resignation in the department moving up to January. The original contract of the commissioner was to end in June, but the request to move to January was approved by Davis. A replacement appointment will be made at a future meeting.

The Board then approved federal holidays for 2021. County employees will receive July 5 off, as Independence Day occurs on a Sunday. For Christmas, employees will receive the 23rd and 24th off as the holiday falls on a Saturday.

State Street Insurance’s Becky Benton spoke with the Supervisors concerning an upcoming worker’s compensation inspection and also discussed whom she should report any insurance changes to with the Human Resources position unfilled.

The liquor license for Lake Panorama National Resort was renewed. Then, the Board discussed changes to the HR job posting and two different forms describing the position.

The Supervisors discussed the budget and a reminder that all county budgets must be certified by March 30. The Board will begin Thursday meetings this week through March.
