The coronavirus pandemic has impacted the Perry Chamber of Commerce’s first annual event of the new year with Bike Ride to Rippey. 

Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the registration for BRR isn’t usually this short, as pre-registration ends on January 15th, but due to COVID-19 they have had to alter certain parts of the event. 

“Normally we take registration right up until the day before the event and the day of the event so this year with some of the changes that we’ve put into place this looks a little bit different.”

Also, Pasutti says they are mailing out all of the pre-registration packets to limit the day of in-person contact and to give people the chance to ride where they are if they feel more comfortable doing so. 

The BRR ride, which is the Chamber’s annual fundraiser since 1977 and consists of bike riding from Perry to Rippey, is set to kick off on February 6th.
