There are two youth basketball programs coming up with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

Tot Shots is for any first-third grader, and the program allows kids to play games and learn basketball fundamentals. The program will be on Tuesdays from January 12th-February 2nd from when school dismisses to 4:30pm at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson. The cost to participate is $10 for community center members and $15 for non-members. The deadline to register is January 8th. 

Mini-Basketball is for any fourth-sixth grader. The program is specifically designed for participants to learn different fundamentals of basketball including, shooting dribbling, rebounding, passing and defense. The program will be held on Thursdays from January 14th-February 4th from when school dismisses to 4:30pm at the community center. The cost to participate is $10 for community center members and $15 for non-members. The deadline to register is January 11th.

There will be supervised bussing from Greene County Elementary to the community center. Call 515-386-3412 and stop by the community center to sign up.
