A reminder that the deadline to apply for a grant with Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation is about one month away.
The non-profit gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson is still accepting grant applications of $35,000 and more. The organization recently gave away over $1 million to community projects, municipalities, school districts, contiguous counties and other non-profit organizations.
GGCGC receives five-percent of the adjusted gross revenue of the casino. About 4.1-percent of that goes towards Greene County projects, while the remaining amount is divided up equally to the six contiguous counties around Greene County. Due to the pandemic, GGCGC President Norm Fandel says the adjusted gross revenues will be down by 25-percent, however, organizations are still encouraged to apply for their competitive grants.
The deadline to apply is February 10th. Grants will be awarded this spring. Click the link below to access a grant application.
