Brady Stauffer

There aren’t many seniors on the Greene County High School wrestling team, but Brady Stauffer is one. The veteran at 138 lbs. is 8-1 so far and he talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about practicing over the break, as well as facing stiff competition when the season resumes.

“We need to get the Christmas fat broke off and keep working as a team. We went into the Christmas break with those five dual wins (5-4 overall) and on a good streak. We need to keep working hard and see if we can piggyback off that the next couple duals,” he said.

Stauffer added, “I want to go against as many (high level wrestlers) as I can. Win or lose, it will get me better for Sectionals, Districts, and State time.”

Coach Zach Beekman’s Rams are scheduled to start the January portion of the schedule on Jan. 5 in Greenfield vs. Nodaway Valley, Martensdale-St. Mary’s, and Woodward-Granger.
