Greene County’s varsity boys’ basketball team hopes to be at full strength when the 2021 portion of the schedule gets underway on Jan. 5 in Jefferson vs. Webster City. Sophomore Jesse Miller was one of several Rams that missed time during the 0-5 start to the season. Miller, listed at 6′ 4″ is the only real height the Rams have, and he sat out most of December under quarantine, having played in just one game.

“I was excited to get back. My first game back against Grinnell helped get my legs under me a little, but I’m looking forward to having us at full strength,” he said. Miller added, “I think the elements are there for us to have success, but we need to practice together, and get in a rhythm, which I think practicing over break will help us do.”

The Rams and Lynx play a girl/boy doubleheader on Jan. 5 and both games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage to begin at 5:40 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 o’clock and the boys to follow.
