Tuesday, December 29th
2:42am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Olive Street.
12:51pm: Officers investigated an accident at Central and Olive Streets. A 2002 Buick Park Ave, owned and operated by Dennis Borkowski was westbound on East Central Ave. A City of Jefferson plow truck, operated by Michael Wallace of Jefferson, was northbound on North Olive. Both vehicle’s drivers noticed the other and hard braked their vehicles. The units could not stop, due to slick road conditions and collided. The Borkowski vehicle suffered a reported $1500.00 in front end damages. The City of Jefferson vehicle had a reported $500.00 to the snowplow.
2:58pm: Dave Morlan reported a Domestic Situation occurring in in a vehicle in the 300 Block of South Oak Street. The officers arrived and spoke to the female. The male had left in the vehicle, but returned. Both advised of an argument, due to the vehicle stalling in the street. The female left with the vehicle and the male stayed at a residence on South Oak for the remainder of the evening.
5:17pm: A caller advised of a dog, outside with no shelter at 304 East McKinley Street. The officer checked on the animal and spoke to the owner. The animal did have shelter and appeared to be fine.
5:39pm: Officers answered questions of a Jefferson mother involving a Civil Chile Custody Issue.
9:23pm: Officers were requested at 307 East Vest Street. A subject had been handcuffed at the
residence, but had lost the keys to the cuffs. The officer unlocked the cuffs from the subject.
