Guthrie County road conditions are continuing to improve, following Tuesday’s winter storm.

Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern reports road crews were out all day Tuesday and they are continuing to work on some snow packed areas on the highways, along with fighting a light glaze on the roads from the freezing rain that happened overnight. He adds, crews may have to finish plowing the gravel roads Thursday. He estimates between 5-8 inches of snow fell in the county Tuesday.

Stuart Public Works Director Jim Henderson says all residential streets have been cleared from curb to curb Wednesday, along with all of the alleyways. Crews will finish removing snow tomorrow morning from the downtown area. Guthrie Center City Hall reports all main roads have been cleared of snow and crews are working on the smaller areas of town.

Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright reports no vehicle crashes and no vehicles went into the ditch during the snow event.
