There’s still time to vote for your favorite holiday tree at the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library.
Library Director Pat Sleister worries that the pandemic has lowered attendance for their Festival of Trees program.
“I think people were afraid to count on doing that. Our trees were down a little bit, not as much as I feared for a while, but people are hesitant to come out and go into public places, and we felt like this was going to be pretty safe. They could social distance and not be here too often. We were a little bit disappointed about that.”
The top 3 winners will receive Guthrie Center Chamber Bucks, and people can count hidden gnomes in the library to enter a contest as well. Voting ends tomorrow at 3 p.m.
