Dallas, Greene, and Guthrie counties are under a winter storm warning today.
According to Weatherology, today will be mostly snowfall, with the potential of three to seven inches throughout the day and possibly periods of freezing rain tonight, along with the potential for one to two additional inches of snowfall overnight.
Weatherology Meteorologist Laura Lockwood says the expectation is that the storm will mostly come to an end tonight which will allow for people to complete the snow removal process. She describes the messy conditions that the roads could be in.
“As soon as that snow starts roads will begin to get a little messy. Best thing to do is just get home early if you’re out during the day and then just stay in overnight if you don’t have to travel don’t.”
Raccoon Valley Radio will continue to update on conditions as they happen.
