12:14pm: A deputy investigated a fire in the 500 block of 230th Street. The fire was a unreported controlled burn.

1:03pm: A deputy and an Iowa State Trooper investigated a two-vehicle accident on U Avenue and 150th Street. William Richards 45 of Coon Rapids was traveling north on U Avenue in a 2001 Freightliner Semi and trailer. William went to pass a slow-moving vehicle and did not see the oncoming semi. William swerved into the ditch just hitting the other semi. Thomas Dulaney 40 of Dallas Center was driving a 2007 Kenworth Semi and was south bound on U Avenue. The damage to the 2007 Kenworth was estimated at 500 dollars. The damage to the 2001 Freightliner was estimated at 500 dollars. William was cited for unsafe passing.

7:21pm: A deputy investigated a theft complaint in the 200 block of South 19th Street, Grand Junction.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
