Chris Nelson was an outstanding shooter when he played for the Jefferson-Scranton Rams during his high school career. He went on to play basketball for the Central College (Pella) Dutch as a shooting guard, so he knows shooters when he sees them. The coach has watch his Greene County Rams go 0-5 to start the season and overall the team hasn’t shot the ball well. “We know we have guys that can put the ball in the hoop. We just haven’t had a good rhythm and flow to our offense just because we’ve had guys missing and we really haven’t had that practice time to connect. We’re going to tweak and move our offense a little bit just to get some more structure to it and find that rhythm.”
The Rams haven’t had what the coach thought there lineup would be at any point of the season so far. They’ll resume practice tomorrow in preparation for the January portion of the schedule.
