Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers athletes have got a lot to be thankful for this holiday season, but after a bizarre 2020 year, the fact that these teams are getting a chance to play right now has been a great honor.
In the spring, there were no spring athletics for anyone across the state of Iowa, which was obviously tough for track and field, golf, and soccer athletes. In the summer, despite a couple of weeks delay on the season, the state of Iowa was able to get baseball and softball into their sports schedule, being the first state in the nation to bring back sanctioned high school sports, and overall it came away as a success. The fall season was unique as kids got back to school, but all programs were able to finish the football, cross country, and volleyball seasons.
This winter has not been the easiest for the Tiger athletes, as crowds have been limited for basketball and wrestling had to be put on hold earlier this month, but every athlete from every sport got an opportunity to play, and for all of these Tiger athletes, they appreciate that chance.
