Greene County High School junior Brianna Habben has been sorely missed on the basketball court. The 5′ 10″ post has not played the last two games prior to the break for the holidays due to an ankle issue.

The Rams are 2-3 on the season, but 2-1 with Habben in the lineup. Without her vs. West Marshall (State Center) and Pocahontas Area, the Rams lost by a combined score of 107-36.

In the three games she’s played, Habben is shooting 62.5% from the floor, 66.7% from the three throw line, has averaged 16.7 points, and 11.3 rebounds. The Rams averaged 33.6 points per game when she played and 18 points per game without her.

Barring the unforeseen, Coach Todd Gordon is optimistic he’ll have Habben back in the lineup when the Rams are scheduled to resume their season on Tuesday, Jan. 5 in Jefferson vs. Webster City.
