The Greene County Peace Officers Association recently made a donation to help families in need.
Sheriff Jack Williams is part of the Peace Officers Association and says they made a $1,000 donation to Greene County Adopt-A-Family. He explains the decision behind why they wanted to make the donation.
“We decided not to do Shop With A Cop this year, due to COVID. We had a meeting last week to discuss donating to foundations or a foundation. We decided to donate $1,000 Adopt-A-Family.”
Williams notes the money they donated was used to purchase toys for Greene County youth, which he adds is what they would’ve done with their Shop With A Cop program.
