A reminder that as we celebrate Christmas, several offices and businesses in Jefferson are also closed to observe the holiday.

The Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson Public Library, and Greene County Extension Office are closed today. The Greene County Community Center and Jefferson City Hall are closing at noon, and the Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community office will be closing at 1pm today. Then tomorrow, the courthouse, Jefferson Library, the Extension office, the community center, the main street and chamber office, Jefferson City Hall, as well as the Jefferson Post Office will be closed in observance of the holiday.

Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.
