The Paton-Churdan girls and Boyer Valley boys won Rolling Valley Activities Conference basketball games last night in Dunlap. The games were the last for this month for the Rockets, who won the girls game 54-34. The boys game went to the home team by a 75-46 final.

Coach Tom Kennedy’s girls are 7-1 overall and 6-1 in conference play, while the BV girls fell to 1-8. Danielle Hoyle scored 25 points with 12 from Tessa Steimel. The Rockets were up by just two points, 26-24, at halftime and had a 10 point margin after three quarters of play, 40-30. A 14-4 fourth quarter advantage put the game away.

P-C’s boys are 2-6 overall and 2-5 in the league. BV used balanced scoring with three players scoring between 15 and 18 points as they improved to 7-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference play. The score was tied 12-12 after one quarter before BV started to pull away to lead 35-25 at halftime and 61-38 at the end of the third quarter. The Rockets had 10 points from Bradyn Smith, eight by Joe Carey, and seven apiece for Justin Stream and Connor Brus. Forest Thompson scored six points and led in rebounds with eight.
