At the  Perry City Council meeting Monday, the Perry Public Library renovations project was discussed. 

While 2020 has brought hurdles for everyone Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson says the library renovation was easier to do because of the pandemic. What originally would’ve been a phased project was allowed to be turned over to contractors to complete the work all at once. 

“Director Mary Murphy did an awesome job with this project you know added quite a bit to the library. So, there is now a family bathroom as well as an entrance kind of right off to Railroad Street which is a majority of the parking for the public library so a little bit better accessibility into the building.”

The library renovation was one of the projects the City completed this year.
