There was a slight uptick in unemployment from last month in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.
According to Iowa Workforce Development, Guthrie, Greene and Dallas counties each went up 0.1-percent unemployment from October to November. Guthrie County is at 2.8-percent, Greene County reports 2.3-percent and Dallas County is 2.2-percent unemployment for November. Each county reports higher unemployment than this time last year. Dallas and Greene counties had a 1.7-percent unemployment rate in November of 2019, while Guthrie County was at 2.4-percent.
Iowa’s unemployment last month was 3.6-percent and the national rate was 6.7-percent.
