The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously during Tuesday’s regular meeting to terminate the contract of Human Resources Director Pam Lane.
The Board will be discussing the job responsibilities and advertise for the position at a future meeting. The Supervisors then reviewed the timeline on the county insurance changes with Becky Benton of State Street Insurance and approved setting a new due date for payment of January 15.
County Engineer Josh Sebern discussed his salary comparisons for the Secondary Roads Department. He proposed different salary raises by job titles to put Guthrie County in line with other similar sized counties. He plans to submit the department’s full 2022 fiscal year budget by January 1.
The Board reviewed the ownership change concerning Jensen Sanitation’s acquisition by RNS Waste Services out of Defiance, Iowa. Before taking action on amending the contract, the Supervisors will consult County Attorney Brenna Bird.
Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson gave an update concerning the jail project. Without severe weather delays, he considers the project still on track to finish on time.
