Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball had a tough game against a ranked Creston team on Tuesday night, but made it look easy in a victory over the Panthers of Creston by the score of 64-44.
DCG was able to come out blazing out of the gate, getting a slew of quick buckets during the first half to build a double figure lead, one that allow them to cost throughout the rest of their game. DCG was also able to slow down a Panther attack that was good at scoring the basketball throughout the season, and really put together a solid defensive performance on the night to take home the victory.
DCG moves to 7-2 while Creston moves to 6-3. DCG will take their number 6 state ranking with them into the 2021 part of their season, and should have a lot to like after a solid start to their season.
