With the Christmas holiday coming up this week, several offices and businesses in Jefferson will be closed.

The Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson Public Library, and Greene County Extension Office will be closed on Thursday. The Greene County Community Center and Jefferson City Hall will close at noon on Thursday. Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community office will be closed at 1pm on Thursday. Then on Christmas Day, the courthouse, Jefferson Library, the Extension office, the community center, the main street and chamber office, Jefferson City Hall, and Jefferson Post Office will be closed in observance of the holiday.

Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.
